History and Milestones
SEH is a manufacturer of high quality network solutions. With over 20 years of experience in printing and networks we possess broad and profound solution skills in these areas for all types of business environments:
- The most comprehensive print server portfolio for all types of networks and all types of printers, copiers, and scanners
- Network print appliances for scalable and cost-efficient spooling solutions
- myUTN USB device servers for accessing USB devices via the network
We develop and manufacture all products at our headquarters in Germany. Worldwide distribution is via our US and UK subsidiaries and an extensive network of partners, distributors, and resellers.
In development and sales, we closely co-operate with many leading printer manufacturers, including CITIZEN, ENCAD, EPSON, HP, KONICA MINOLTA, KYOCERA DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS, MISSLER SOFTWARE, MUTOH, OCÉ, OKI, PSi, ROLAND, SAMSUNG, TOSHIBA TEC, UTAX, and ZEBRA.
2012
- SEH introduces the special integrated fiber adapters FC126 and FC1126, developed in close cooperation with HP for attaching HP LaserJet Enterprise printers to fiber optic networks.
2011

- ThinPrintReader TPR-10 introduced
- SEH presents software SEH Analytics
- SEH introduces myUTN-120 SDCardserver, a USB device server with an extra SD card slot
- The new generation of ThinPrint Gateways is introduced with TPG-25 and TPG-65
- SEH presents myUTN-130 Scannerserver
- The introduction of the myUTN-150 USB device server marks the beginning of the second, more powerful generation of myUTN USB device servers by SEH
2010

- myUTN-80 Dongle Server introduced
- New hardware revision of ISD300/300-PoE/300-SSD
2009
- Introduction of a new ISD series: ISD4x0
- myUTN-54 USB Device Server ensures network connection of USB devices via WLAN

2008
- Introduction of Gigabit Printservers for Ethernet/Fast Ethernet and fiber optic
- Launch of the USB device server product line myUTN for the flexible and mobile access of USB peripheral devices via the network with no location-based restrictions

2007
- Implementation of UTN (USB-to-Network) into all USB print servers of the PS series for sharing GDI printers and non-network-enabled multifunctional peripherals in a network
- Launch of WLAN print server PS113 for Citizen POS printers

2006
- Presentation of the ThinPrint Gateway TPG60
- Implementation of IPv6 into the 4th generation of print servers
2005
- Presentation of the prototype of the Output Monitoring Device OMD
- Opening of the Japanese Support Centre
- Foundation of a wholly owned subsidiary in the US

2004
- Presentation of the fourth generation of print servers: support of high speed standards
such as USB 2.0 HS and 802.11g Wireless LAN - Presentation of the second generation print server appliance, the ISD300
2003
2002
- Opening of the US sales office

2001
- Launch of the print server appliance ISD200
- Launch of the first internal 802.11b WLAN print server worldwide

2000
- Introduction of the 3rd generation of print servers: High speed print servers consisting of just four components; the heart being the highly integrated S5 ASIC - developed by SEH
- Opening of the Japanese office
1999
- Opening of the first international office in England
- Opening of the Latin American office in Venezuela

1998
- Launch of the first 10/100 Mbit Ethernet and TokenRing print servers for EPSON printers featuring a Type B port worldwide
- Complete product range for Kyocera printers featuring a KUIO port

1997
- Introduction of the 2nd generation of print servers (including Novell NDS support)
- Launch of the first print servers for Fast Ethernet networks
1996
- SEH is the first vendor worldwide to implement HTML into print servers (management via browser)
- Print server development for Tally
- Launch of the first fiber optic print server worldwide

1995
- Launch of an Ethernet network interface card for EPSON
- OEM contract with Kyocera Germany
- Launch of a wireless printer adaptor using IRDA
1994
- Launch of the first TokenRing network interface card for HP
1993
- Launch of the first TokenRing network interface card for Kyocera
- Initial OEM developments

- Mr. Werner Schweer joins SEH as fifth shareholder
January 1986
- Foundation of SEH Computertechnik GmbH by Mr. Christian Sturmhoefel,
Mr. Joachim Sturmhoefel, Mr. Rainer Ellerbrake and Mr. Peter Herden
(the company name being composed of the first letters of the surnames of the founders); Development of hardware and software products on customer request - National sales partner for Kyocera printers in Germany
