Screencast: Port Renaming Dongleserver

Date: 02-20-2012 | Category: Blog

In this screencast we show you how you can rename each USB port, using the myUTN-80 dongle server as an example.

Usually, after inserting a USB dongle to the dongle server, a non-descript name appears in the UTN Manager. This makes it difficult for users to choose the right dongle for the software they want to use. Port renaming allows them to assign an unambiguous name to the port in question so users can immediately see which dongle they should use.

Please note: To use the new functions of your USB device servers, the following firmware/software has to be installed first.

myUTN-50/52/80:
b-fw-ps-18.bin / b-sw-uds-14.0.35.bin

myUTN-54:

b-fw-rt3070-5.bin / b-sw-uds-14.0.35.bin

myUTN-120/130/150:
a-fw-ps-36.bin / a-sw-uds-14.0.12.bin

You'll find the latest versions in our download area.
