Enter USB Port Keys

The USB port key control is a security feature in which a key is defined for a USB port. Neither the USB port nor the connected USB device are shown in the SEH UTN Manager, i.e. the USB device cannot be used. Only if the key for the USB port is entered in the SEH UTN Manager, the USB port and the connected USB device appear.

The USB port key control is set up via the Control Center. On each client which is to have access to the USB device, the respective key must be entered for the USB port in the SEH UTN Manager.

 

Important:

The availability of the USB port key control feature is model-dependent and thus ma< not be available for your UTN or INU server.

    The USB server is shown in the selection list.

 

1.  In the selection list, select the UTN respectively INU server.

2.  From the menu bar, select UTN serverSet USB Port Keys .
The Set USB Port Keys dialog appears.

3.  Enter the key for the relevant USB port.

4.  Click OK.

  Access is granted. The USB port and the connected USB device are shown in the selection list and can be used.
