You can use automatic messages to be notified when a USB port becomes available or to receive information about the connection duration.

Important: Automatic messages might not appear. Messages depend on the system's window manager. Due to the multitude of Linux varieties (and windows managers) notification via message might not be supported. |
You will receive a message once a network participant deactivates the connection to a USB port and the connected USB device.
1. In the selection list, select the port.
2. From the menu bar, select Port – Settings.
3. The Port Settings dialog appears.
4. Tick the option under Messages.
5. Click OK.
➔ The setting will be saved.
You will receive a message if one of your connections to a USB port and the connected USB device exceeds a defined time period.
1. In the menu bar, select Program – Options.
2. The Options dialog appears.
3. Select the Program tab.
4. In the Messages area, tick the option.
5. Define the desired duration.
6. Click OK.
