SEH Technology launches USB Hub IH-304 for Industrial Control Cabinets, Server Racks
Phoenixville, PA, March 26, 2018 — SEH Technology Inc. — the U.S. subsidiary of SEH Computertechnik GmbH, a Germany-based network solutions innovator — announces the North American release of the IH-304 Industrial USB Hub, a four-port, SuperSpeed 3.0 USB hub for industrial use. With overvoltage protection, the hub quadruples the reach of each USB SuperSpeed port found in a cabinet-mounted, industrial PC or USB device server. It also mounts vertically, saving space on a DIN top-hat rail.
If deployed together with SEH's recently announced two-port, INU-100 USB device server, two IH-304s can extend the remote monitoring and control of up to eight USB devices over an IP network or the Internet. (The upper limit per INU-100 is ten devices, achieved with a third, cascading IH-304 hub.)
The Industrial Hub also serves as a USB charger with 1.5 amperes per port, and accepts a selectable and redundant power supply from 12 to 48 V DC. Among its primary uses:
- automation, process control (control and monitoring of sensors, gauges, peripheral devices and actuators, especially in Industrial IoT applications)
- manufacturing (data upload from analyzers, cameras, etc.)
